Jim Detjen

Jim became the director of the Knight Center in January 1995. Formerly an award-winning science and environment reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Detjen is also co-founder and past president of the Society of Environmental Journalists. Rachael Gleason

Rachael is a second-year student working on a master’s degree in environmental journalism. She is originally from Texas, where she worked as a reporter, photographer and desk editor for several years. She’s also had more than a dozen business stories published in the Houston Chronicle. Kerri Molitor

Kerry Jo is a senior studying journalism with a specialization in environmental studies. She’s interested in learning more about nature writing and photography. She has written for the Michigan Nature Association blog.

Rebecca Wierda

Rebecca works as a seasonal interpretive ranger at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Her goal is to continue working for the National Park Service.
